Overall: This past week I cooked quite a bit because I was cooking for not only myself, but my husband and sister as well. The pumpkin cream cheese came out tasty but because I had not thoroughly softened it it had tiny lumps, I fixed this by using a blender and it turned out creamy and delicious. I had not eaten pumpkin cream cheese before, but I really enjoyed it. I attempted to make vegetable tempura, which turned out to be disastrous and dangerous. Most of the recipes I attempted the batter was too thin and then the vegetable would not cook while being fried, so I ended up with raw vegetables in a thin coating, eventually I got the coating right, but the oil came right out and splashed me. Needless to say, for me tempura is something that is better made by somebody else than myself. My stir fry is coming along, this weeks was much more edible than last, but still is missing something. I will be tweaking it in weeks to come to see how I can adjust it for the better. The potstickers are close, but not there yet and another batch will need to be made before I can figure out the right filling and dipping sauce.

In terms of Thanksgiving,  I cooked quite a lot. I love to cook and the cooking marathon of Thanksgiving appeals to me and gives me quite a lot of joy. Next year, I plan to make the bread as a pre-Thanksgiving treat and eat it while it is still warm. I also am not planning to make the pumpkin cheesecake, it was good, but not good enough. Also Thanksgiving is really the pie holiday and so I just feel the need to embrace it fully.
